Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Compassionate Life. By using our website, booking our services, attending a workshop or event, or engaging in coaching sessions, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Coaching and Speaking Services

Compassionate Life offers individual, pre-marital, couples, group, recovery, and business coaching services. In addition, we host and facilitate workshops for various age groups (beginning at age eight), speaking events, and community-based coaching engagements. These may include:

  • Scheduled workshops (in-person or virtual)
  • Community talks or wellness fairs
  • Private speaking engagements
  • Impromptu advice or coaching when requested in public settings

All services are based on professional training and experience as a Certified Life Coach, and are meant for educational and supportive purposes only. These offerings are not a substitute for therapy, counseling, or licensed mental health services.

2. Client Agreement

All one-on-one and ongoing coaching clients are required to sign a formal Coaching Agreement prior to beginning services. This agreement outlines:

  • Session structure and expectations
  • Confidentiality policies
  • Payment terms
  • Client and coach responsibilities
  • Cancellation and refund policies

3. Workshops and Events

  • Participation in workshops or speaking events implies agreement with these Terms and Conditions.
  • For events involving minors (under 18), a parent or guardian’s permission is required at the time of registration or participation.
  • Information and advice provided in group settings is general and not to be considered personalized therapeutic or legal advice.

4. Payment and Deposits

  • A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure coaching sessions, workshops, or event bookings.
  • Payment details, pricing, and due dates will be communicated at the time of booking or registration.
  • Clients and participants are expected to honor all deposits and future payments as agreed.
  • Missed or late payments may result in forfeiture of services or denied entry to future sessions/events.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling of private sessions.
  • Workshops, events, or speaking engagements may have separate cancellation policies based on event size and preparation needs. These will be communicated in advance.
  • Missed sessions or late cancellations are subject to the terms outlined in the coaching or event agreement.

6. Refund Policy

  • No refunds will be issued for completed coaching sessions or for missed attendance at workshops or events unless otherwise specified in writing.
  • Refunds for future services or packages may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Compassionate Life.
  • Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances, including for coaching, workshops, and speaking events.

7. Disclaimer and Liability

All services are provided by a Certified Life Coach and are intended to support personal insight, goal-setting, and personal/professional development.
By participating in any service, workshop, or conversation (including impromptu public discussions), you acknowledge and agree that:

  • No diagnosis or clinical treatment is being provided.
  • You are responsible for your own choices, actions, and outcomes.
  • Compassionate Life and its representatives are not liable for decisions made based on advice given during coaching or speaking engagements.

8. Confidentiality

All private coaching sessions are confidential, except where disclosure is required by law (e.g., danger to self or others, suspected abuse, or court orders). While general discretion is practiced during workshops or speaking events, confidentiality is not guaranteed in group or public settings.

9. Use of Website

By using this website, you agree not to:

  • Reproduce or redistribute content without written permission
  • Misuse forms, booking tools, or messaging systems
  • Engage in illegal or harmful activity through the site

10. Changes to Terms

Compassionate Life reserves the right to update or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of services, events, or the website constitutes acceptance of any changes.
